Random Interests..

Have you ever had an urge to get something that is totally pointless to get but you just want it just because? I get this "Urge" alot and recently it's been alot more often then usual. Right now I am searching for a 3x3x3 Rubiks cube keychain which convieniently, nobody sells ANYWHERE! Okay so the way this came to be is that I was recently at my girlfriends (Isabella) parents house a few days back. They were trying to solve a Rubiks cube. I personally know how to solve it and I actually lost mine a while back. So now I want one again. Not a big one but something I could just carry around in case i'm ever bored. It's been the same way with music, video games and a new workout system to get rock abs.

I can't help it. but hey, If it's intresting and it floats your boat why not have it? I think that everybody has this "Random" urge to buy or go do something at some point. Like the other day it was about 11 o'clock P.M. and I just got out of work. Exausted, and one of my friends text me and said " Hey wanna go board?" Of coarse I said no because I was tired and sweaty from the pizzeria but that was completly a random thought just to go skateboading in the middle of the night. Not to mention that there are cops around everywhere because the skate park usually closes around 11 anyway.

I guess where i'm trying to go with this is, it's cool to be random. Keeps everything spontanious and fun. so the next time you wanna get something that's pointless to have, but that will make you happy. DO IT!

Oblivious or Not..

You know something, There are alot of things that happen that most people are completely oblivious to. I envy them most because I have the constant irritation of thinking too many things at once. For example there are about 4 ZILLION people in the world, and each and every one of them have a story. A birth, a child hood, a adolescent, leading them up to where they are now. You see when I look around I don't just see people, I see stories. Obviously not the exact past of their life but, a made up story my mind creates inside my dear ol' mellon. It's kind of like seeing someones whole life played out and I begin to create assumptions of who they are, what their intrests are and past experiences I can create using a scar they have or a tatoo.

So if you can imagine how many people are in the room right now in my class at the University (About 25 people) my mind is constantly creating stories. Sometimes I physically get a headache from thinking so much. Another thing that I feel like i'm the only person in the world that does this, is I constantly catch myself thinking about what other people are thinking. Not what they are thinking about me, like alot of people tend to do. But what they actually think. Let me explain. You know that soft kind of "voice" we all hear inside of our head? The one that convieniently has our voice and basically says what your mouth would only in silence consealed away inside your head? I feel as though I can hear what somebody else is thinking. Weird enough? no. I can hear their voice even if I have never seen, met or even HEARD them talk before. The mind is a remarkable thing.
I know this doesn't sound that bad but try constantly making these wacked-out stories with pretty much every person you look at or inside every car that passes by you while driving. It's exausting after a while. Also try having a hot girlfriend and walking passed all the sex-crazed guys drooling everywhere. Yet, that is only in my head. The only one who knows what is REALLY going on inside their head, is them.

Anyway i'm off to make some more stories and assumptions catch ya later.

Portable Music?

So I was pondering today and though to myself. What. is the deal with airline food?? haha just kidding. I was actually thinking about how music on wax came to be. I was recently lisening to one of my old favorite bands of "Motown", The Temptations. The music a flawless mixture of soft melodies and raw passion from the old generation. Definatly not saying that we don't have that now in this generation, but I guess it just appeals more to me because I grew up listening to it with my "Pops".

All that aside I have no idea how in the world somebody figured out how to put the music down on a record. I mean really, who was the guy that said "Hey lets see if we could take this music and put it on something so that we don't have to play it everywhere!!" I don't know why I assume the person that invented the records was in a band. Or possibly the manager of the band. Or had the bright idea to record onto wax, not some other substance like metal or plastic. But whatever. I mean I guess if you think about it now it's not really a big deal cause we have computers that do pretty much everything for us. With the MP3's and the DVD burner software. I swear give it another decade and computers are going to be able to take out the trash, make you a sandwich, pick up your dry cleaning, and wash your back for you in the shower with ease. And if you upgrade to "2000xtra plus" it'll get it done in about 5 seconds. Anyway thank God somebody came up with a way to capture music on records. If they didn't, where would we be? Probably in a more colorless world from lack of all the music we wouldn't have ever heard from around the globe.

Surfs Up!

Has anybody tried to surf with your eyes closed? Definatly a no go. Yes yes I tried it. I basically got thrashed around after the 2.5 seconds I stayed on the board before it flung me off into the big blue ocean. My friend Otto was trying to teach me how to surf because he 's into this kind of thing and I thought it would be a cake walk cause i'm a snowboarder myself. God what a difficult sport. Water is water, it's liquid! the slightest touch will cut the water and send you flying into next week. Overall I had a good time but I think i'll stick to solid ground for a while.
